Just wanted to share this shot of the moonrise in the Alabama Hills. Brian and I stopped to stretch our legs on the way home from Lake Tahoe earlier this month. The afternoon lighting wasn't great for capturing the mountains, but I decided to bring my camera along anyway to get some shots of the rock facing east. As luck would have it, I noticed the moon was starting to rise as we were walking by this formation, and I was able to frame it perfectly in that bowl part. I definitely want to go back and explore more and get some sunrise shots of Mt. Whitney. Apparently there is an natural arch that you can use to frame it! So cool!
