Last weekend Brian and I hiked out to the Devil's chair on the north face of the San Gabriel Mountains. Usually, I don't like to lug my camera around on our weekend adventures because we hike mid-day (which makes for bad lighting), and the LA smog ruins most shots. However, I decided to take it on this one since we got a later start to our day, and I thought the rock formations might be fun to photograph in the afternoon light. I was also crossing my fingers that there might be some snow left from a recent storm, but it had already melted in the lower elevations. Anyway, none of my shots are really portfolio worthy, but I thought I would share regardless. Enjoy!
It always makes me happy to come across the Pacific Crest Trail while hiking. It's so crazy to hit patches of it close to home, and hundreds of miles away up in the Sierras.
