Exploring the beauty of this world is something I never take for granted. The way I feel when I breathe in mountain air, and stand at the zenith of a hike is sacred to me. Now more than ever it seems critical to stop denying climate change, and to cease destroying the natural beauty of our Earth in pursuit of financial gain. I worry about what the shift in power in the Unites States what it will mean for our planet.
This summer Brian and I took a week-long road trip to the Canadian Rockies. The mountain peaks were breathtaking, the river canyons were stunning, the forests were full of life, and the glaciers were.... well, melting. I am glad that we got to see some of them first-hand on this trip because I fear that they may be gone the next time we visit.
This should be a post about our trip; about our adventures and how each image was created. However, after the election results, I just don't have it in me to write that kind of post. Instead, I ask you to look at each image. If you think it is beautiful, if you think the landscape is worth protecting, stand up for change. I am still figuring out how I can best to that, but I challenge you to do the same.
